Bolton-by-Bowland  Young Farmers

About The National Federation of Young Farmers’ Clubs is one of the largest rural youth organisations in the UK. It heads a nationwide body of 624 Young Farmers’ Clubs (YFCs) in England and Wales dedicated to supporting young people in agriculture and the countryside.

Bolton by Bowland YFC has approximately 25 members between the ages of 10 and 25. We are very proud of our members who are always keen to get involved with competitions at club, regional and county level. As a club one of our main priorities is fundraising within the local community. In 2014 we donated £1,000 to Derian House, £250 to the Lymphoma Charity, and £250 each to the War Memorial, the Village School and Church.

Bolton by Bowland YFC is pleased to organise the Village Bonfire Night and the New Years Day Duck Race. We are also proud of our legendary Christmas Cracker event which is held in December and is aimed at other YFCs. Although a lot of hard work is involved in organising these events, they help to raise the money which the club gladly donates to worthy charities.

Our meetings can be indoors where we do a variety of things including listening to talks by interesting speakers and competition practices. We also arrange external activities such as bowling, swimming and stock judging. There is a meeting for everyone and please see our calendar for information of what is coming up.

We are always keen to recruit new members and everyone is welcome to our meetings! Please see ‘Contact Us’ and feel free to ask for any further information, we would love to hear from you.

Meet every Monday in the village hall unless otherwise stated
